A great little mom & pop shop. Friends brought me here and I greatly enjoyed the food as well as my experience with the owners. The poutine could've been better but the burger was great; cooked just right, flavourful and not too big. The spiced fries were good on their own though. I would definitely stop in for lunch if I was in the area.

Despite its name, this was no gourmet burger joint and I wouldn't describe the burger that I ate as gourmet. I ordered the Double Home Banquet Burger with two 6oz. beef patties, bacon, cheese, and my choice of condiments. What I received was a big thick juicy greasy burger that required nine napkins to mop up. You know what? There was nothing wrong with that! It tasted pretty darn good! 3.5/5.0
Could it have been better? Sure but it would probably be double the price. The patties didn't have the shape or texture of being handmade but reminded me of a very good quality frozen product that I've used in the past. They were grilled, giving it the flavour that I like. The cheese was processed, again it was okay. At $8.95, it was a very good value.
The fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. I had gravy on the side that was just okay. It was described as homemade but, with all my experience, I'm not sure about that. Fries: 4.0/5.0. Gravy: 3.0/5.0.
I was the only customer the whole time I was there so the chef/owner and I were chatting for a bit. He's been there almost twenty years. Obviously, he's doing something right. I've lived in the neighbourhood a little over twenty three years and this was the first time I've been there but not the last. I asked the owner what I should try next and he didn't hesitate to recommend the souvlaki. I love souvlaki. At $12.95 for a large dinner, that's a good value too.
The place is tiny, with only two tables of two and three stools at a window counter. It's on the verge of being cluttered, so takeout would be my recommended option. Good tasting food at great prices with friendly service, that's a good combination.
Overall: 3.5/5.0 -

I was surprised when I walked in. Greek food done by Asians. No matter. It doesn't matter who makes it as long as the food taste good. I believe its run by a husband and wife team and I have to say they did a pretty good job replicating Greek food. Its like a knock-off Louis Vuitton bag.
Ordered a large chicken slouvaki dinner for just under $12. Comes with flatbread, salad, rice and the chicken itself. Everything tasted great and its comparable to Jimmy the Greek. Good portion of chicken meat. The meat itself was tender and juicy. I thought the rice portion was a bit small. Usually for Asian take-out I'm use to the container being filled to the very top. So I figure if Asians are running this place then I would get similar portions. But just by lifting the take-out bag I could feel how light it was :(

Nice little restaurant. I did like the customers photo on the wall. Unfortunately, this is a fairly small location so I would recommend taking food to go.
I tried their mushroom burger and was pleasantly surprised considering their prices.
Will definitely order again. -

I went there on a Wednesday for lunch at around 12.30 and I was surprised that I was the only person there. The homemade Burger that I ordered isn't great but isn't bad either. The only time I might go back is for the lunch special which is $7 for a combo. Otherwise I would rather go to McDonald's that's across the street
